Acrylic Paintings

**Figure labels are placed at the top of the corresponding painting. To comment on a specific piece, start the comment with the figure label as so “Figure:1.”

Figure 1
I wanted to display some extra color that wouldn’t normally be in a typical sunset. I did it just to display some surrealist techniques. Let me know what you think!
Figure 2
This was actually supposed to be a waterfall! I started and realized that I didn’t have the technique, the right paint, or the patience to do a waterfall. I painted the whole painting black and did a night sky with mountains. It looks really orange but the painting it’s pretty black.
Figure 3
This was my second ever acrylic landscape. I consider it the piece that really sparked my love for painting landscapes. I love painting myself wherever I want to go.
Figure 4
I had just gotten a palette knife and decided to try mountains for the first time. Like a beginner, I painted the mountains, the trees and their reflection and then took the painting to my family for a second opinion. They pointed out that I had forgot to paint the mountain reflection! I had to try and paint the same mountains again. It turned out ok, but not as I’d hoped.
Figure 5
This was just because I was bored. My favorite part is the wolf’s breath.
Figure 5
This was my first painting with acrylic. I mixed the paint with a lot of water to get it to blend easier and it pulled some of the congas off. It also made the colors less striking, but I still have to revert back to it for technique.
Figure 6
This is my most recent painting. It’s a recreate of a picture that I took when I was vacationing in Texas. I exaggerated the colors for effect. It gives a very calming feeling.
